More Trees - Tsumiki
Tsumiki is an architectural game designed by Kengo Kuma. A light and transparent building set inspired by traditional Japanese architecture. Simple wooden wedges that allow to create structures of all shapes and sizes. Every piece is crafted with Japanese cedar, with a notched base for flexibility and strength.
The smooth triangle-shaped Tsumiki are made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified cedar wood from Morotsuka Village in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan where one of More Trees' Forest locates.
More Trees is a forest conservation organization led by Japanese musician Ryuichi Sakamoto. Standing for a society in which people and forests coexist, it works with communities to plant and take care of forests. In collaboration with designers and local craftsmen, More Trees creates design products using local timber.
