AIAYU - Pyjamas Poplin (Space)
This soft and breathable sleep-set is comprised of two versatile pieces: an attractive button-down shirt and matching pants. Made from a crisp organic cotton poplin, this set is the perfect combination of cool, casual, and comfortable. The shirt is oversized with a flattering V-neck and button closure front. The pants have a relaxed fit with a slightly cropped length and an elastic drawstring waist.
Wear yours as a set for lounging at home or mix and match the pieces with other items in your wardrobe for a day out.
The PYJAMAS POPLIN run true to size. However, as with all our cotton styles, they only have the natural stretch of a woven fabric and no synthetic elasticity. So, we recommend opting for a roomier fit as the fabric gets worn down more easily when worn tight.
Super compact 100% organic cotton, GOTS-certified, locally sourced & refined in India in SA-8000 socially compliant factory.
Machine wash, Aiayu recommends 30 – 40 degrees, environment friendly soap, no bleach, air-dry, no or low iron. Washing is hard on your textiles and on the environment. Washing on low temperature is a great way to save resources. Avoid tumble dry, air-dry your garment for a fresh look and feeling.
Aiayu’s ethos from the beginning has been to actively reduce and avoid chemical additions to their products for the sake of the planet, their customers, and the people who make their clothes. As a matter of principle, they aim to keep their products as close to nature as possible.
Aiayu’s cotton items are organic and GOTS certified, which means that each step of the supply chain – from seed to final garment – is rigorously assessed and inspected for toxicity and chemical safety. A large proportion of Aiayu’s knits are undyed, using only the existing shade of the natural fibres. When they do choose to dye, it is always done with AZO free and EU REACH standard dyes to ensure the safety their customers and production partners.
Bolivia is where AIAYU started in 2004 where the Danish founder Maria Høgh Heilmann fell in love with a remarkable people whose legacy of craftsmanship with llama wool – an exquisite yet little known material to outsiders – inspired her journey to build a sustainable supply chain which would respect the Bolivian people and environment.
